HEARTLESS: Shocking Reason Why This Two-Year Old Girl Was Murdered By Mother’s Boyfriend, While Mother Watched (PHOTO)

A 2-year old girl Tanilla Warrick-Deaves was murdered in her mother’s home in Australia, in 2011 for being too slow at toilet training.
Tanilla was murdered by 30-year old Warren James Ross, her mother’s boyfriend, who became frustrated that she was not toilet-trained.
 On this particular day, he kept beating her and he repeatedly banged her head on a glass shower screen and cupboard door to make himself feel better, while her mom watched.
The beatings were so severe that she lay unconscious in a pram for two days until she eventually stopped breathing, daily mail reports.
After a long trial, Tanilla’s mom was found guilty last year of manslaughter for refusing to stop her boyfriend from beating her daughter or calling for medical help. She was sentenced to 12years in prison, which was reduced to nine years after she agreed to give testimony against Ross, her former boyfriend.

Court Fixes Date On Sanusi Lamido’s Suit

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday fixed March 21 to hear a motion filed by the suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, seeking enforcement of his fundamental right.
Lamido had filed the suit through his counsel, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo (SAN), seeking an order restraining the police and officers of the State Security Service (SSS) from arresting, detaining or otherwise harassing him.
Joined as first to third respondents in the suit are: The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Inspector General of Police (I-G) and the SSS.
When the case was mentioned on Friday, Justice Ibrahim Buba adjourned it to March 21 for hearing, following an application for adjournment moved by counsel to all the respondents.

Boko Haram Attacks Kill 32 In Northern Nigeria

Suspected Boko Haram gunmen killed at least 32 people in three separate attacks in northeast Nigeria, including at a theological college, a local government official and residents said on Thursday.
The coordinated attacks in Adamawa state late on Wednesday came just a day after Islamist militant fighters were blamed for killing 43 people, most of them students, as they slept at a boarding school in Yobe state.
The chairman of the Madagali local government area in Adamawa, Maina Ularamu, said “a large number of militants carried out three separate attacks on Shuwa and Kirchinga in my local government area and on Michika in neighbouring Michika (district)”.

900 Turtles Found Dead On Indian Beach

Over 900 sea turtles have been found dead along the coast in southern India, conservationists say, blaming illegal fishing near their sanctuaries.
Supraja Dharini of the Tree Foundation, a marine conservation group, said trawlers fishing illegally along the coast of Andhra Pradesh state were not taking measures to stop turtles from getting entangled in the nets.
She said more than 800 dead Olive Ridley turtles were washed ashore on Saturday, and 100 more were found on Sunday.

David Yonggi Cho, founder of Yoido Full Gospel Church, one of the largest Pentecostal churches in South Korea has been sentenced to three years in prison for embezzling $12 million in church funds.

Allegations arose in November of last year when 30 church elders held a press conference accusing Cho and his family of stealing millions in church donations dating back to the 1990s.
The elders enumerated multiple instances of Cho’s dishonesty that involved him borrowing and never returning funds, acquiring enormous church donations without disclosing what they were being used toward and even taking an $18 million severance pay when he stepped down as head pastor in 2008.
One former church elder, Ha Sang-ok, was present at the press conference and urged Cho to come forward.

Actor Emeka Ike Evicted From Rented Duplex Over Failure To Pay N8.5 million Rent

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun on Tuesday distributed copies of the voters register to all political parties in the state.
Mr Oladipo Oladapo, the Administrative Secretary of the commission, said at a forum in Osogbo that the exercise was crucial to the success of the governorship and general elections.
“INEC is committed to providing a voters register that will be qualitative and error free to make it acceptable to all.
“The voters register contains a list of those registered as at 2011; the registration is a continuous process.
“There will be a Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) from March 12 to March 17”, Oladapo said.

Policeman Arrested For Attacking Wife With Cutlass

Okokomaiko Division of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested a policeman, Michael Okoli, for allegedly attacking his wife, Felicia, with a cutlass, at their  home in Afromedia Estate, Lagos State.
His wife now lies in a critical condition at Gbagada General Hospital after she was rejected by many hospitals.
The Delta State‑born Okoli confessed that he became angry after he did not find N70,000 he kept aside for house rent and when he asked his wife about the missing money, she was rude to him.
In anger, he took a cutlass and attacked Felicia. After the attack, she was taken to several hospitals before she was eventually admitted at Gbagada General Hospital where she is being treated.

A 26-year-old student, Ramon Bankole, who allegedly drank wine worth N65, 000 at a club without paying, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.
Bankole, a student of the Ibadan Polytechnic, Ibadan, who resides at No. 6, Muyiwa Close, Ogba, Lagos, is standing trial on two-count charge bothering on stealing.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Chinalu Uwadione, said that the offences were committed at 3:00 a.m. on February 24, at Club Uno, Allen Ave., Ikeja.
Uwadione told the court that the accused stole three bottles of Moet and one bottle of Hennessey drink valued at N65, 000 belonging to the club.

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada over the Supreme Court judgment on Friday, which validated his election as governor of the confluence state.
The Supreme Court had in a unanimous judgment, Friday, dismissed the petition filed by a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jibrin Isah Echocho, challenging the emergence of Mr. Wada as governor.
The Supreme Court held that the Court of Appeal was right to have upheld the High Court’s judgment, which earlier declined jurisdiction to consider the case and threw out Echocho’s appeal.
