Fresh Attack In Plateau Leaves 29 Dead

No fewer than 29 people were reportedly killed in two villages along the Barkin-Ladi Bokkos Road in Plateau State in a fresh attack Saturday.
The latest development brings to 47 the number of persons killed in different attacks in the state since Monday.
Although security agencies have not given any official figure on the casualty from this latest attack, Mr. Mike Lipido of Stefanos Foundation, a no-governmental organization, said 29 deaths were recorded in the two villages.
The killings are believed to be an extension of attacks and counter-attacks between locals and Fulani herdsmen, which have left scores dead in recent times.

Arsenal 4-1 Sunderland: Goal-hungry Giroud back with a bang

The Frenchman scored two first-half goals, while Tomas Rosicky and Laurent Koscielny completed a brilliant day for the Gunners as they swept the Black Cats aside.
Olivier Giroud scored twice as Arsenal demolished Sunderland 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Frenchman was restored to the starting line-up in place of Yaya Sanogo by Arsene Wenger and duly repaid his manager's faith with two first-half goals.
Tomas Rosicky then added a third in magnificant fashion, before Laurent Koscielny added insult to injury with a fourth after half-time, despite a late consolation from Emanuele Giaccherini.

Presidency In Fresh Plots To Arraign Sanusi Over ‘Financial Reckless’

Indications emerged weekend that the Federal Government might not stop at its suspension of Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), following feelers from the presidency that the embattled Kano Prince may soon be arraigned for ‘misconduct’.
The plot to arraign Sanusi is however, without prejudice to the order granted by the Federal High Court, Lagos, on Friday, barring the Federal Government, State Security Service and Nigeria Police from arresting the suspended CBN governor.
The findings of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) on the Sanusi-led CBN, which President Goodluck Jonathan used as a basis for his ouster, indicted him of financial recklessness including commitment of N168 billion of public funds to the execution of intervention projects across the country.

What A Girls Outfit To A Nightclub or Bar Says About Her [MUST READ]

This is the definition of judging a book by its cover, so hear me out.
I’ve worn all these ensembles and had the correlating personas to back it up. As a girl, you can be the babe looking like you belongs at “da club” on Friday and be dressed like a kindergarten teacher Saturday. It all goes back to when you were rifling through your closet earlier that night.
Here is a guide to help you read how she’s feeling- all based on what she left her pregame wearing.

Read Dele Momodu's Exposé On The Sack of Mallam Sanusi

This has been another week of political brouhaha in Nigeria as the owners of the long knives moved in and cut the dagger’s man, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, into shreds. SLS, as he’s fondly called by friends and foes, had committed one of those commonest mistakes in warfare, and it is a useful lesson for all. A good student of military strategy would have known you don’t pull a gun if you are not ready to fire. History is replete with tales of such calamitous and fatal errors. I had expected a man as voluble and volatile as SLS to appreciate that truism.
For allowing President Goodluck Jonathan to fire the first shot, Sanusi now has to fight from a defensive position when he should have been the aggressor. But I won’t write him off.
I hope Jonathan and his warlords thought through the repercussions before they took on Sanusi two days ago. The reason I say that is simple to guess. It is always difficult to fight a man who is not afraid to die.

Chelsea-Everton Betting Preview: Expect the Roman Army to crush the Toffees

Jose Mourinho’s men welcome to the Stamford Bridge Roberto Martinez’s side as they hope to maintain their lead atop the EPL log
Everton travel to the Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in Saturday’s English Premier League early kick-off encounter. The Blues come into this game following their exit in the hands of arch-rival Manchester City in the English FA Cup played last weekend.
The hosts have been in fine form in the EPL and could move four points clear atop the league should they beat Everton at the Stamford Bridge.

Ozil left out of Arsenal squad for Sunderland clash

The 25-year-old endured a nightmare performance in the Gunners' 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday and, after being given the day off from training, has again been rested.
Mesut Ozil has been left out of the Arsenal squad that will attempt to reignite the club’s title challenge against Sunderland on Saturday, Goal can reveal.
Arsene Wenger has decided to rest the German international in the aftermath of his much-criticised display in midweek, when the playmaker missed a penalty as the Gunners were defeated 2-0 by Bayern Munich in their first-leg Champions League clash. Ozil was given the day off training on Friday and told he could put his feet up when second-placed Arsenal host Gus Poyet’s improved Sunderland team at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
