Undiscovered: The Dangers Of Mobile Phones

Today with a rampant technology, the world seems to be on an bubble. Almost every person on the planet now has a mobile phone, some have even two or  several.
Even though mobile phones are a great technology in that they are useful, they are a health hazard.  Health bodies and scientists the world over have warned us in many occasions the downside of those little devices. It is called radiation.
“We are now seeing evidence of cancer clusters appearing in radiation from phone masts after long-term exposure…. There appears to be a cancer epidemic across Europe with younger people developing this deadly disease.” According to The Naila Study, Germany.
There is radiation in every electrical equipment or devices we use on a daily basis.
These range from television sets, to wires to microwave ovens, through to mobile phones and electrical pylons. The reality is simple: the more you are exposed to any of those devices and equipment, the more you are at risk of developing a cancer of some sort. According to The Federal Agency for Radiation Protection, “Germany. Medical doctors compiled case histories since 1994 – 2004, looking at heightened risk of taking ill with malignant tumours. They discovered a threefold increase after five years exposure to microwave radiation from a mobile phone mast transmitter for up to 400 metres distance, compared to those patients living further away”.
Understanding the dangers can go a long way to take necessary measures to lower the risks of exposure.
According  to a report:by Ronni Wolf MD and Danny Wolf MD, Kaplan Medical Centre, Israel “Five other short-term mobile phone mast studies have also found significant health effects such as headaches, dizziness, depression, fatigue, sleep disorder, difficulty in concentration and cardiovascular problems”
Basic Advice
In UK, an independent expert group reviewed the evidence about the health effects of mobile phones. It said ironically that: ”there was no clear scientific evidence of harm to health from exposure to mobile phone signals”.
“However, the expert group was concerned about the widespread adoption of a new technology involving exposure from radio waves to people’s heads, including those of children, at levels that are significant fractions of international guidelines. This, and some uncertainties in biological evidence, led the expert group to advise some precaution, particularly in the use of mobile phones by children” according to a European Environmental Health Organisation.
We now know about the increase in many cancers despite the rapid advance in technology. However technology being a tool for development and speed of development and progress, has certainly brought “side effects” wherever we found it. It has alleviated many burdens such as machines doing jobs humans would take physically much more time to do but also can do more and quicker in terms of productivity. Remember though machines could never do anything without the help and creativity of human.
The general advice of mobile phone health experts are:
Use a Headset or Speakerphone
Keep Your Phone Out of Your Pocket
Limit Children’s Use
Don’t Chat with a Poor Signal
Don’t Wear Wireless Headsets As If They Were Jewelry
Dr Mercola of the mercola.com a natural health advocate insist: “As a general rule, you’ll want to avoid carrying your phone anywhere on your body. The most dangerous place to be, in terms of radiation exposure, is within about six inches of the emitting antenna, especially when it is put next to soft tissue such as in your pant or shirt pocket, or worse yet, in a woman’s bra”
