President Goodluck Jonathan, today removed Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi as
the Minister of Sports and replaced him with Dr. Tamuno Danagogo.
Abdullahi was appointed as the Minister of Youth Development by Jonathan in July 2011. Since assuming office and was widely praised for his pro-active and youth-friendly approach.
The president also swore in 10 other new Ministers and assigned portfolios to them, shortly after they took their oaths of offices at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
These are the new ministers and their portfolios:
Mohammed Wakil – Minister of State Power
Alhaji Abduljelili Adesiyan – Minister of Police Affairs
Ambassador Aminu Wali – Minister of Foreign Affairs
Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi – Minister of Land and Housing
Dr. Tamuno Danagogo – Minister of Sports
Hajia Asabe Asmau Ahmed – Minister of State Agriculture
Boni Haruna – Minister of Youth Development
Dr. Khaliru Alhassan – Minister of State HealthGen.
Aliyu Gusau – Minister of Defence
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro – Minister of State Defence
Lawrencia Laraba Mallam – Minister of Environment
