Tony Hawken, aged 57 has filed for divorce from his wife, a billionaire Xiu Li, aged 51 claiming he wishes a simpler life.
A 57-year old teacher Tony Hawken is divorcing his wife, Xiu Li, 51, who is now the wealthiest women entrepreneur in Britain, as he does not like to be rich and is “not in the habit” of spending a lot of money.
The couple lead a simple life, when Xiu Li had an idea of launching shopping centres in one of the disused Chinese air raid shelters. This idea earned her £1.1 billion and got her to the Sunday Times Rich List. The married couple back then moved to a £1.5mln house in Surrey, rich neighborhood, from a small semi-detached home.

of them being underground. She is also the president of a football team

While Hawken doesn't teach maths anymore, but tutors for under-priviledged kids for free.
Hawken was not comfortable with such sudden wealth and continued getting lunch at local small café’s and buying used books.
After the divorce, Hawken will get only £1million, which, according to him, will be more than enough.
The couple has a 17-year old son, William.
