Singer, Davido nominated for 2014 MTV EMA “Best African Act” Category, Tiwa Savage on “Wildcard” List

MTV EMA season is underway! MTV (DStv channel 130) has revealed the first four nominees for the Best African Act. Davido (Nigeria), Goldfish (South Africa), Diamond (Tanzania) and Toofan (Togo) will be battling it out for supremacy in this hotly contested category.
In addition, for the first time ever, MTV is putting an EMA nomination in the hands of the fans via social media, so music lovers everywhere will have the power to help select the fifth nominee for Best African Act. Fans can tweet and vote from the following list of artists to earn the fifth nominee spot using the hashtag #MTVEMA plus the relevant hashtag for your favourite artist from the following list:

PSquare, Banky W, Wizkid Win Big At 2013 Channel O Awards

Nigeria’s top singers, PSquare, Banky W and Wizkid did their country proud as they shone brightly last night 30 November as the 10th Annual Channel O Africa Music Awards was held at the magnificient The Dome of Walter Sisulu Square, Kliptown, Soweto, South Africa.
The trio scored big during the awards ceremony, taking home four awards including the night’s top prize of ‘Most Gifted Video of the year’ won by EME/Starboy Records’ Wizkid with his hit song, ‘Azonto’.
Wizkid, 23, edge out other chart toppers including Mafikizolo (Khona), PSquare (Alingo), Xtatic, AKA & Priddy Ugly (Hit Em Up), Zeus Ft.AKA & Tumi (#DatsWasup), STL (Stella, Stella, Stella), AKA (Jealousy), Reason (Do it Like I Can), FuseODG Ft Wyclef Jean (Antennae), Ice Prince (Aboki), R2Bees (Life Wahala) and Paul G Ft. Wande Coal Signs With Dbanj’s DB Records

I can assure you that this report is very accurate, of course unless both parties step forward and prove me otherwise.

I got this report directly from an official at DB Records, whose name has been withheld.

Wande Coal aka Black Diamond left Mavin records in June 2013 but Mavin made it official in a press release a couple of days ago after the Wande Coal and Don Jazzy wahala.

All efforts to reach Wande Coal to confirm the story proved futile as the singer avoided the question.

If this report is true then it would be a big slap in the face of ace producer, Don Jazzy; as he has lost Wande Coal to former label partner, D’banj.

Although this story is yet to be officially confirmed, another source says that Wande Coal is now living with Kswitch in Dbanj’s House
